All monies donated to this site will go directly to the Noosa Hinterland / Wide Bay Branch of the Queensland Greens to fund our political campaigns for Wide Bay.
Contributions and gifts to political parties and independent candidates and members may be claimed as income tax deductions.
For contributions and gifts to be deductible, they must meet several requirements:
a/ the recipient must be a political party registered under Part XI of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 or under corresponding state or territory legislation. The Noosa and Hinterland Greens are a branch of the Queensland Greens which is a registered political party.
b/ the gift must be made by an individual in their personal capacity, or an employee or office holder, and
c/ the contribution or gift must be $2 or more and be of
– money, or property that the contributor or donor purchased during the 12 months before making the contribution or gift.
A tax deduction for a contribution or gift is claimed in the tax return for the income year in which the contribution or gift is made. The most that contributors or donors can claim in an income year is:
$1,500 for contributions and gifts to political parties, and
$1,500 for contributions and gifts to independent candidates and members.

Additionally the Greens declare donations above a certain threshold (currently $1,500) and donations above $13,000 per year must be declared by both the party and the donor. More information can be found here.
